Brain Tumor, Childhood is a harmful or harmless abnormal cell growth in the brain that develops during adulthood. Harmful tumors can disrupt brain function and can spread to the rest of the body if not diagnosed early. The nervous system is responsible for regulating many functions in the body and helping us carry out actions. Tumor to the brain would result in severe problems performing many different tasks, ranging from reasoning to walking. Tumors can grow at any stage of life. A doctor may suspect a brain tumor based on a history of headaches, movement problems, or other issues related to thinking, or cognition. Doctors are usually able to diagnose this brain tumors using imaging studies such as MRIs. Treatment is developed on a case-by-case basis and depends on the specific needs of the patient. Doctors may suggest chemotherapy or surgery to treat brain tumors.
