Colorectal Cancer

Common Name(s)

Colorectal Cancer, Cancer, Colorectal

Colorectal cancer is cancer of the colon or rectum. The colon and the rectum are part of the large intestine, which is part of the digestive system. Colorectal cancer occurs when tumors form in the lining of the large intestine, also called the large bowel. Symptoms include diarrhea or constipation, blood in your stool, frequent gas pains or cramps, weight loss, fatigue, and nausea. Screening tests are important as these symptoms may not be present at first. Tests include colonoscopy and tests for blood in the stool.
